Hey everyone! Here we are, back home. We came back from our first Canadian tour about a week ago and we're still sort of in awe about everything that happened to us up there. From the first day on, right up to the last one the locals kept on surprising us with their hospitality and kindness. Our first few concerts were in the Montreal area, which really impressed us with a strong European atmosphere. First three gigs were openers for Quebec rock legends Grimskunk (www.myspace.com/grimskunk). These guys have been together for 20 years and they really put on one hell of a show. It’s quite a sensation to see people enjoy playing and creating quality music after all these years and to top things off, it’s their job as well. Can’t really imagine a better way to go.
After having spent the first couple of days in Montreal (big thanks to Trigger Effect – www.myspace.com/heliocraft - who let us stay in their house all along) it was time to head out to Toronto where we played at one of the biggest Canadian festivals, Canadian Music Week. Then we had to take part with our friends Grimskunk for a short while to play a couple of concerts with Toronto based Zeroscape (www.myspace.com/ ), who are coming to play two concerts in Slovenia as a part of their European tour in April. So, having played three successful shows in Toronto and gained new fans, we decided it was time for our next trip. We had three days off before our next show so we decided to go to New York City to check out what’s going on in the city that never sleeps. Indeed, the big apple truly never sleeps. From living in Harlem, to visiting Ground Zero and having some fun in the night time, this was a short but intense experience we won’t forget in a hurry. It took us ten hours to get back to Toronto to play one more show there, then we headed back to Montreal for three more shows in the area (Sorel and Quebec City). So to recap the whole experience, Canada left a deep and lasting impression in all of us. All the people we came across were really nice and we came back home with the best of feelings (except perhaps for one or two burgers too many still lingering in our stomach) and of course the wish and determination to go back there as soon as we can manage.
